1. Collection, Processing and Use of Data

1.1. Bauverlag collects, processes and uses your personal data in compliance with the data privacy regulations of Germany. We collect personal data for the purpose for which the data was entrusted to us in the process of using our services, especially in the placement of an order, creating a customer account or the use of mobile applications. We use your personal data to fulfill and process your requests.

1.2. When you visit our public parts of our websites, we collect and store your data anonymously on a temporary basis e.g. anonymous IP address, date and time of access, the amount of data transmitted as well as the internet site the demand originates from (referrer) and the product name and version number of the browser being used (User-Agent). We need this data to enable the access and use of our services.It is not possible to draw any conclusions from this data about a specific person. The data listed is exclusively used for statistical purposes and error analysis and will be deleted thereafter.

1.3. In the protected areas of our websites, we collect and store for a short period of time the following information such as, an error analysis, the volume of data transferred, user name of the user account as well as fault messages.

1.4. Registration is required for the individualized use of our services on our websites and of our mobile applications. When the customer registers for the use of our services (fee-based or free of charge), we collect your e-mail address, the password of your choice and the country you register from. When using our paid services, you are asked to give your first and last name and address. Your personal data is used only for its intended purpose. Furthermore, in the course of using the services it is possible to provide further data on a voluntary basis. You may change the data that you entered at the registration process in your user account at any time.

1.5. When you contact us per e-mail or phone, we will use your contact details to process your requests and follow-up questions to the extent it is permissible by law. Occasionally, we may use your personal data to inform you per email about important news such as, notifications about the modifications of the General Terms of Use and our services to the extent it is possible by law. Furthermore, we use your data to respond to your wishes, questions and reviews.

1.6. We use your postal and e-mail address for promotional purposes, as far as it is legally permissible. You can object to this use at any time by e-mail at info@bauverlag.de or in writing and for free with the exception of the transmission costs.

2. Use of Data for the Newsletter Subscription

When you register for our electronic newsletter, we will use your data to send you the newsletter. We store your IP-address and the date of registration for the newsletter. You may revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by unsubscribing the newsletter.

3. Use of Mobile Applications

3.1. When using our mobile applications, your mobile device’s encrypted device ID (UDID, IMEI, SIM) may be transmitted in order to make this application available on the concrete device. This data is necessary for us to provide you with service and support. In addition, we automatically collect details of the start and end of its use, called transactions (URLs) and transmitted and/or generated data to analyse faults, performance and called transactions (URLs). If you use location-based services, we will need your prior consent for the collection and use of location data. You may revoke the access to your location data at any time in the settings of your mobile applications. When you remove the mobile application from your mobile device, personal data will no longer be collected.

3.2. When the mobile application of the Bauverlag is provided in cooperation with application providers, the application provider may ask you to consent to their own general terms of use and privacy statement for its use. Bauverlag does not review and/or check terms of application providers. Please note that application providers can define the manner of use of the mobile application of the Bauverlag. 4. Transfer of Data

4.1. In principle, your data is exclusively collected and used for its intended purpose. Your personal data will be transferred without your prior consent only in the following cases.

4.2.We will transfer the necessary information to external service providers if we are dependent upon them to fulfil your order e.g. transport, support, payment process and for the transmission for permissible promotional activities. External service providers are carefully chosen and will be regularly reviewed to ensure that your data will be used in accordance with the provision of data protection law.

4.3. We will transfer personal data to prosecution authorities or violated third parties when it is necessary for the investigation of an illegal use or for the prosecution. After the deletion of your account, the respective data will be blocked and deleted after the legal retention periods have expired, unless you have explicitly consented to a further use of your data or such a use is legally permissible.

6. Cookies

6.1. We use session and persistent cookies in order to provide you with optimal service and to enable the use of certain features. Cookies are small files that are placed on your device.

6.2. Session cookies are limited in time and recognize data as a so-called session ID. 7. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (‘Google’). We use so-called social plugins of different social networks like Facebook, Google+, Xing and Twitter. When you visit a page of our website that contains a social plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to Facebook servers. 9. Reach Measurement

Our services use the “Scalable Centralized Measurement System” (SZM) for determining statistical parameters on the use of our Internet site. This process makes anonymous measurements. To recognize computer systems, SZM reach measurement uses either a cookie with the identification “ivwbox.de” or a signature created from various information automatically transferred by your computer. IP addresses are not saved in this process, are used only in anonymized form (shortened) and are deleted immediately after processing. The aim of reach measurement is to statistically evaluate the use of websites. Individual users are not identified at any time and your identity is always protected. You do not receive any advertising over the system.

10. Piwik

This website uses Piwik, which is a web analysis service. Piwik uses cookies. These are text files stored on the user’s computer and enable Bauverlag to analyse user traffic on the website and to improve its services. For this purpose, the usage information generated by the cookie (including your abbreviated IP address) is transmitted to the Bauverlag server and stored for usage-analysis purposes. This helps Bauverlag to optimize its website. The user’s IP address is automatically anonymized in this process so that the user remains anonymous. For online advertising placement we use Adserver of Adspirit GmbH, Ebertstr. 2, 10117 Berlin. 12. Technical Safety, Encryption Data

12.1. In order to protect your personal data against manipulation, loss, deletion or unauthorised access, Bauverlag uses ongoing technical and organizational protection measures.

12.2. Information that is transferred on the internet is normally not encrypted. All data you enter on the user account of our websites and/or mobile applications is encrypted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer).

13. Links to External Websites

Our offer may contain links to external websites. Your personal data will not be passed on when accessing external websites. When you access external websites, the privacy policy of the respective operator applies.

14. Rights to information, correction, blocking, deletion and objection

14.1. You have the right to receive information free of charge about the stored data as well as correction, blocking or deletion of incorrect data, if necessary, as long as the deletion does not conflict with any retention periods. Aumago uses cookies, a text file that is stored in the browser of the computer that collects anonymous usage data for the purpose of usage-based online advertising (Online Behavioral Targeting, "OBA"), such as the type of visited websites and categories and/or product pages. The collected information is not personally identifiable information (non-PII). Thus, the collected usage data cannot be linked to the real identity of the user. The cookies are either Aumago cookies, or cookies from service providers that Aumago works with, for example krux digital Inc. The user can delete the cookies at any time, either directly in his/her browser or manage his/her cookie preferences under http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/ or http://www.krux.com/krux_privacy/consumer_choice/. Based on the anonymous cookie information and the user’s usage data Aumago segments that information by industry. On behalf of Bauverlag Aumago will use this anonymous, non-PII to market it as part of a better targeted usage-based online advertising.
